What does the service offer?

We have a team of trained and experienced alcohol counsellors who offer a service to Sheffield residents.

We offer free and confidential counselling for anyone who is experiencing problems with alcohol.

This could be your own problem or it may be that of a friend, relative or someone else close to you.

We offer training and education to other health and community workers.

Above all we offer a safe and friendly environment where you can come for support and advice.

How will SAAS be able to help me?

Everyone's problems are different and so we respond to each person seeking help as an individual with their own kinds of problem. We can offer:

One to one counselling.

Information about alcohol and its effects.

Advice on how to reduce the amount of alcohol you drink.

Information about other services, groups and hostels.

Information on your options for detoxification.

Advice and support in helping a relative or friend who has an alcohol problem.

How do I get an appointment?

You can refer yourself simply by giving us a ring. Alternatively you can be referred to the service by your GP, Social Worker, Probation Worker or other professional.
